Manor Spring Musical

Classic Broadway musical that will whisk you away to a place where no one ever grows up.
A musical that is loved by most and a family favorite, Peter Pan is a musical about a boy who never grows up. He and his fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a fierce Indian tribe, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook.
Based on J.M. Barrie's classic tale with an unforgettable score by Morris "Moose" Charlap and Jule Styne. Lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and Betty Comden and Adolph Green featuring songs, "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up" and "Never Never Land," Peter Pan Jr. will provide a fun musical experience for all.

Based on the record-breaking West End production and beloved film, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr. is a story about an eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts who is determined to restore an old race car with the help of his children Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car is magic, and has the ability to float and take flight. When the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself, the family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher.
This musical features unforgettable score by the Sherman Brothers filled unforgettable songs.

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences.

Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on your stage! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of first love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities.
It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

About YES Theater
YES Theater began in Ross Valley in 1981. This unique award-winning program has been offering children high quality, entertaining, theatrical productions in the public schools of our community for over 30 years. YES Theater produces full scale Broadway musicals, original works by local playwrights, children’s theater favorites, musicals, comedies, even a bit of Shakespeare. . . all starring our children. Hundreds of YES students from the Ross Valley schools each year experience first hand participation in professional, quality, theatrical productions. The Program offers an opportunity for students to have fun while learning new skills. Theater incorporates listening, reading, memory, teamwork, self-discipline and a host of other educational opportunities. Highlights of the program include the opportunity to:

Participate backstage in the unique YES Theater KidTech program
Audition workshops are conducted so that students can meet the director before auditions begin and learn about the show. Students will be able to brush up on their theater skills and audition techniques as well as learn what to expect at the auditions. Every student who auditions will have the opportunity to participate in the production.
