Open Positions on the YES Board

The YES Foundation operates with the support of a large network of volunteers, including a working board that meets monthly and coordinates all functions of the foundation.

The YES Board is composed of a diverse group of professionals who play a crucial role in steering the operations of our fundraising program throughout the year. Below is a list of currently available positions on the board.

VOLUNTEER BOARD POSITIONS:

  • The Business Partner Lead serves as the Board’s strategic leader for the organization’s Business Partnership program, developing and stewarding relationships with local businesses to generate meaningful annual fundraising support and strengthen connections between YES and the broader community.

    The Lead oversees the strategy, relationship development, fundraising, and stewardship of the Business Partnership program and leads a small committee responsible for ensuring that partner benefits are delivered consistently and that businesses feel valued and engaged throughout the year.

COMMITTEE POSITIONS (NON-BOARD):

  • Part of the Business Partners Committee this role supports the Business Partnerships Lead by ensuring that Business Partners receive the visibility, recognition, and engagement opportunities promised through their sponsorship at YES fundraising and community events. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between Business Partners and event leadership, helping ensure partners feel welcomed, acknowledged, and meaningfully connected to the YES community at events throughout the year.

  • Part of the Business Partners Committee this role supports the Business Partnerships Lead by managing relationships and logistics for restaurant partners participating in YES Dine & Donate fundraising events. This role serves as the primary point of coordination for participating restaurants, ensuring events are scheduled with sufficient advance notice, details are clearly communicated, and each opportunity is effectively promoted to the YES community.

  • Working closely with the Events Strategic Lead, the Community Events chair serves as lead liaison between YES Foundation and the Community members executing major community fundraising events (Baldydash, Tutu Turkey Trot, etc.) ensuring that community members are set up for success and connected to relevant Board members in support of the event include art, music and theater leads, Business Partners, and Major Donors. The Community events chair is not responsible for executing the events, but as a connection to the organizers.

    Site Leads act as the primary liaison between their school community and the YES Foundation, building relationships with school leadership, PTO/PTA representatives, teachers, and families while ensuring YES has a consistent and visible presence on campus.

    There are five School Site Leads serving on the YES Board, representing Manor, Brookside, Hidden Valley, Wade Thomas, and White Hill. Site Leads work collaboratively throughout the year to share ideas, resources, successful engagement strategies, and best practices across schools.

  • Activities include helping at annual events like the YES Fest, Tutu Turkey Trot, etc., putting up promotional posters on campus,

  • The Webmaster & Tools Support role provides technical support for the YES Foundation’s website and core digital tools. This volunteer helps ensure our website remains current and functional while supporting the systems and accounts our staff and Board use to operate effectively.

    This is an ideal role for someone who is comfortable with websites, digital platforms, user administration, and troubleshooting and enjoys providing behind-the-scenes technical support.

  • Support YES Foundation in drafting grant applications.
