  • In the 1970s, Prop 13 reduced California state funding for public schools, resulting in cutting arts education.

    In response, dedicated parents in the Ross Valley School District (RVSD) created the Yes Foundation to fund art, music, and subsidized theater programs across the K-5 grades.

    Without Yes, these critical programs would not exist for our children.

  • Yes funds all 4 elementary schools and the 1 middle school in the Ross Valley School District:
    - Brookside Elementary
    - Hidden Valley Elementary
    - Manor Elementary
    - Wade Thomas Elementary
    - White Hill Middle School

  • YES equally funds all 5 Ross Valley Schools

    K–8 ART FUNDING: Credentialed teacher salaries for weekly classes & materials.
    K–8 MUSIC FUNDING: Credentialed teacher salaries for weekly classes, instruments, instrument maintenance & materials.
    K-8 THEATER SUBSIDY: Spring musicals for all 5 schools & one Fall play for 6–8 grades only.
    K–8 LIBRARY BOOKS: New library books for each school annually.

  • All teachers in the RVSD gain 2 weekly planning periods to better prepare for their lessons during students' weekly Art & Music classes.

    These planning periods are necessary for continued investment in student curriculum and would not be possible without Yes programs.

  • If the Yes foundation cannot meet its fundraising goals, we will not be able to answer the district financial needs to support teacher salaries & materials. The district will be forced to cut programs.

  • Yes funds Art and Music programming across the Ross Valley School District, including credentialed teacher salaries, instruments, and materials, as well as subsidizing YES theater and provides library books to all schools annually.


    Parent Clubs fund their respective schools' field trips, classroom supplies, student clubs, teacher and staff gifts, PE & Safety equipment, and more.

  • Ross Valley Schools can only provide these critical arts programs with the support of Yes, which receives 80% of funds through family donations. DONATE TODAY.
